Robert Lee Lewis
I was born and raised in the city of San Antonio, Texas, so I know a little something about the Lone Star State here! You see, San Antonio is kind of a transition area between the Beautiful Rolling Hills of the Texas Hill Country and the Blackbrush and Mesquite of Legendary South Texas and I’ve been enjoying Hunting both of them since I was kid!! But Texas has a lot more to offer than just Whitetails! Over the years, I’ve also had the privilege of Hunting several species of exotic game, Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Wild Hogs, Javalina, Bobcats, Coyotes, Turkeys, Geese, Ducks, Pheasant, Quail and Dove!!! My passion for hunting here in Texas continues!! My passion for fishing was fueled by the two Power Plant Lakes, Braunig and Calaveras!! These two Power Plant lakes provide the juice for San Antonio and contain large quantities of Largemouth Bass, MONSTER Redfish, Hybrid Stripers, Blue and Channel Cats and Tilapia! Other clear blue water lakes in the San Antonio area include Canyon and Medina Lakes!! But wait…that’s not all! I also grew up enjoying the nearby spring fed rivers of the Guadalupe, Comal and San Marcos Rivers!! I’ve been enjoying Hunting and Fishing in Texas for over 40 years!!

I have two passions, music and the outdoors. Specifically "country" music and hunting in the great outdoors. I grew up in South Texas playing music with my dad and hunting and fishing with my grandpa. For the past 28 years I have been a radio personality on San Antonio's leading country radio station, KJ97. I have also pursued my love for hunting and fishing every chance I could. I have always joked that the only way my life would be better is if I could do radio in the mornings and host a hunting and fishing show in the afternoons! Teaming up with Robert and Lone Star Surf and Turf Adventures allows me follow that dream and share my passion for the outdoors with even more folks. I've been married for 27 years and have two daughters. My wife and daughters share my passion for music but they do not hunt on fish......yet!

My love for hunting began when I was very, very young. My Dad began taking me hunting with him when I was just six months old, and he continued taking me with him all throughout my childhood. Some of my fondest memories, and simple life lessons were made and came from sitting with him in a 4'x4' box blind during deer season. My Dad and I still love to hunt together. We have both become hog hunters over the past several years. Today I live and work on my Family's cattle ranch near Forestburg, Texas. I am an avid hog hunter, and love to deer hunt as well. In the past several years I have began bow hunting, and that has opened up a whole new world of hunting for me. I love getting close to the game I pursue. I also have taken on the challenge of filming all of my hunts. I cannot imagine not having a camera in the woods with me. I get a thrill out of sharing my hunting experiences with the world. My largest hog to date weighed close to 400 pounds, and I have taken several close to 300 pounds. I do a lot of hog hunting at night and enjoy the many challenges hog hunting provides. I am very blessed to have a wonderful wife, Andrea (Bowgal), who really enjoys hunting and the outdoors. We have two beautiful girls, Reagan 4, and Logan 2. I am planning on taking them hunting with me when they get older and creating lifelong memories with them, just like my Dad did with me.

I was born and raised on Canyon Lake in the Texas Hill Country!! My dad had a passion for bein outdoors!! He started takin me fishin just as soon as a life jacket fit me well enough to stay on me!! Before the age of 10, I had already learned to catch Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Stripers and White Bass!! We've always had a boat or two or three, and we also spent several weekends a year fishin along the Texas Coast!! There I developed my own passion for the hard fightin, rod bendin action of the Red Drum and Black Drum!! I don't know, there was just somethin about the battle with these fighters that has kept me anxious to spend time on the Texas Bays!! By the time I was 5 years old, I had already started taggin along with Dad on Huntin trips!! He wasn't goin to let me hunt though, until he was certain that I was responsible enough to handle all that goes with it!! So, for several years, I sat in Deer Blinds with him and listened to him talk about what the animals were doin and why!! He was allways tryin to share some of his experiences with me and had a great gift of makin our time together very interesting! Although I seemed to always fall asleep in the Deer Blind right about the time the animals were ready to move around!! By the time I harvested my first Deer at age 10, I had already learned to pattern Deer, to judge their age and size and how to make an ethical shot!! Since then, I have harvested Whitetails, Axis Deer and Hogs!! I also enjoy Dove huntin!! I am grateful for growin up in the Outdoors and I assure you, as the years go by, my passion continues to grow!! Mitchell Walter Lewis
